Bevertech 2026: the countdown to the new event dedicated to the beverage & liquid food industry has started!

2026 trade fair calendar has been enriched with an interesting novelty, an opportunity that those operating in the beverage sector cannot miss!
We're referring to Bevertech, that will take place in Milan from 17th to 20th November and that results from the synergy between two consolidated cornerstores in the exhibition scene: SIMEI and Ipack-Ima. 
This platform proposes itself as a real innovation accelerator, aimed at connecting advanced solutions in beverage and liquid food production, bottling, packaging and distribution with the main national and international players within the sector. 

In this context, SMI, that offers a wide range of solutions for beverage and liquid food covering primary, secondary and tertiary packaging and complete lines and meeting several needs in terms of configurations, products, processed products and production speeds (up to 55,000 bottles/hour), could not miss. 
At our booth H01, K02, hall 2 you will have the possibility to view in operation the ACP 20 S P ERGON pick & place packer that will pack 0.75 L glass bottles of sparkling wine in American-style cardboard cases (RSC) in 3x2 format with a production speed up to 16 packs/minute. 

The displayed solution stands out for the extra protection offered to the product, a feature that is made possible by the PID device, acronym for Partition Inserting Device. 
This system enables to insert stretched board pre-assembled partitions into cardboard boxes, in order to protect fragile products and save their labels from abrasions.
Compared with the traditional inserting systems of non-preassembled partitions, the PID enables to:

• reduce the partitions purchasing cost and their storage volume
• have a more compact machine, since both the partition magazine and the Partition Inserting Device are positioned on the machine top; in this way, the machine dimensions are the same as those of a conventional case packer
• speed up the partition insertion operation and the loading times of the relevant magazine, since partitions are already pre-assembled;
• reduce the sensitivity of partitions to humidity and climate changes.
